Nature through my eyes. #Earthday 2025

#EarthDay 2025: It's about the long game. 🌎

I don't know about you, but this year, #EarthDay hits differently. Between rising grocery bills, climate disinformation, political and social unrest, and small businesses (like ours) navigating global uncertainty, it can feel almost irrelevant to reflect on the environment. Personally, I have felt that perhaps the goals of our entire business (to make more natural home care products and reduce plastic), might not really matter in the scheme of what is happening. When we are all faced with some pretty real and urgent challenges, it’s hard to make space for the planet.

However, when I take a step back, I am also reminded of the reasons we care about the planet, it's about committing to the health of people and our community. During times of unrest, it makes reminds me to hold the line and recommit to our values with stubborn resolve.

But that’s exactly why we need to do it now.

If we want to move from surviving to thriving, we have to play the long game—and that means focusing on what truly matters. When I start to spiral, I come back to the joy that nature brings, and this year, more than ever, we need to lean on nature to connect us back to our roots and the little joys of life:

Forest hikes that make you realize how powerful trees are.
Cold lake swims with the ultimate zing.
Watching tiny sprouts turn into summer salads.
Baby ducks waddling towards a ponds.

So I took a look down memory lane, and pulled together a collection of my favourite moments in nature over the past 2 years. As a mom of young kids, raising them and a small business on the Pacific Northwest, here is nature through my eyes.
